11th Annual Operation Christmas Kids Toy Run
Plymouth Community Ambulance Association (PCAA) is a non-profit organization serving the emergency medical needs of Plymouth Meeting and the surrounding areas. On Sunday, December 5th, 2020 the organization is holding its 11th annual Operation Christmas Kids Toy Run. This operation is sponsored by PCAA and includes numerous other Emergency Services agencies from Montgomery and surrounding Counties. The operation is designed to collect unwrapped toys for children that have to spend the holiday in the Hospital. On December 5th, participating Emergency Services agencies will gather at PCAA’s Main Station, located at 902 Germantown Pike in Plymouth Meeting, PA to meet with the community. At 1PM the agencies and their respective vehicles packed with toys will drive in procession to deliver the gathered toys and bring a smile to all the children at Bryn Mawr and Saint Christopher’s hospitals.
This operation helps bring smiles to ill children and helps their families with offsetting some of the holiday costs that they may not be able to afford due to medical bills. We are requesting donations of gift cards or new, unwrapped, and unopened toys to be used to provide a better holiday season for sick children.
Due to current events with Covid-19, PCAA will strictly follow CDC guidelines regarding social distancing. We ask anyone who enters the building to donate or to attend the gathering at the station, to please wear a mask. Please do not attend if you or anyone in your party feels ill or is experiencing the following: Cough, Shortness of Breath, Fever, or Malaise. Unfortunately, due to the probability of spreading the disease, PCAA is unable to collect any stuffed animals, clothing, or cloth items – so please do not donate any toys that are not NEW AND UNOPENED.
